The goal of Math Motivators is to close the opportunity gap to, in turn, close the achievement gap by using a volunteer-driven math tutoring program that pairs underserved middle and high school students with professionals and college students with strong mathematics backgrounds.
This database includes an initial set of organizations that offer tutoring, technology platforms or academic interventions along with relevant information if available. This is not meant to be an inclusive list, but a starting point. We welcome additional organizations to join the database by completing this form.

This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

NeoMaster Global provides personalized, high-dosage, targeted, high-impact, outcome-based online tutoring for elementary, middle and high school students in mathematics and English. Students/parents/schools can choose between structured and on-demand help.
NSync Accelerated Learning Solutions offers in-school tutoring, after school tutoring, and summer school tutoring to provide the support students need to catch up on their learning that was interrupted due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. We employ highly qualified tutors who work closely with classroom teachers to customize targeted learning that addresses a student’s immediate learning needs, provides additional instructional time by aligning the tutoring activities to current classroom activities, offers more engagement, rapid feedback, and fewer distractions in one-on-one and small group environments, creates meaningful mentor relationships between tutors and students. OnYourMark is an early literacy tutoring service providing virtual, individualized, high dosage instruction focused
on foundational early literacy skills. Our program is grounded in the science of reading, and we partner with
schools as a complement to the literacy instruction already in place to ensure students get the foundational
reading skills they need to excel. Our goal is that all kids receive the foundational skills in early literacy that support successful reading outcomes by the end of 2nd grade.
OpenLiteracy partners with school districts, non-profit organizations, and families across the United States to provide 1:1 tutoring for students in grades K-6. OpenLiteracy Tutoring can be implemented during the school day, for instance, during an intervention block or independent reading time, as well as before or after school. Students receive one-on-one instruction from a certified teacher for 30 minutes, three times per week, via OpenLiteracy's virtual classroom. Our COPPA compliant virtual classroom, similar to Zoom, makes it easy to conduct tutoring sessions whenever and wherever needed. OpenLiteracy cares deeply about working in partnership and we regularly communicate baseline and ongoing progress monitoring data as well as attendance.

These interactive courses are designed to bring joy to students with a blend of academic intensives and cultural exploration curriculum.
Remind currently provides k-12 math tutoring in alignment with state standards (Common Core or, i.e,. TEKS) and evidence based practice in the areas of math including pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trig, calculus, stats, and test prep. Remind works with certified and retired teachers and relationships are our focus.
Revolution Prep serves schools, school districts, and community based organizations to provide virtual high availabilty, high impact tutoring and test prep programs. Revolution Prep's faculty members are full-time employees and receive 100+ hours of professional development and training every year, both in content and student engagement "growth mindset" strategies and techniques. Since 2002 Revolution Prep has provided academic success and tutoring programs to nearly 1,000 schools and districts and over 1 million students.
SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words) is a research-based foundational skills program proven to help both new and struggling readers in grades K-12 build skills and confidence for fluent, independent reading.

SmartStart has provided tutoring services for over 35,000 students, attending hundreds of schools, in over 100 districts. Over 95% of SmartStart’s students come from ethnic/racial minorities. Nearly 25% of SmartStart’s students are English Language Learners, and nearly 15% of our students are designated as having special needs.
SmartStart is flexible and accommodating to school, district, and student needs, and can provide tutoring 7-days per week, in-person or virtually, in school or out, and between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm, year-round. SmartStart provides a diverse group of tutors, who work collaboratively to support students. SmartStart can provide either push-in or pull-out tutoring, during school hours or outside of school hours. Spivey Education is a collection of math educators dedicated to adapting real classroom experience in order to make online math tutoring personalized and effective.
Springboard's recipe for impact is a method we call Family-Educator Learning Accelerators (or FELAs). FELAs are 5-10-week cycles during which teachers and parents team up to help kids reach learning goals. Programming combines personalized reading instruction for PreK-3rd graders, weekly workshops training parents as reading coaches, and professional development for educators.
The sudden switch to virtual learning impacted all K-12 students, the ones whose education was impacted most were elementary and middle schoolers. Our team saw an opportunity to build a community to teach young students and help older students meet their graduation requirements through Student Power.
Targeted Reading Instruction (TRI; formerly called Targeted Reading Intervention) is a professional development program for K-2 teachers with an embedded reading intervention. Teachers work one-on-one with a beginning reader for 15 minutes a day for a period of eight to ten weeks. TRI literacy coaches support teachers with an initial training institute followed by weekly web-based coaching while a teacher works with a student.
Teens Tutor Teens is designed to allow youth to guide and educate youth on their educational journey. K-12 youth and those seeking GED assistance are paired with Teen Tutors who have undergone rigorous vetting and instruction approval to work with students. It is 1:1 tutoring but can also be a small group.
Gateway begins with a diagnostic assessment to determine exactly where students' skill levels are. Then we have a goal-setting session to develop the high-impact tutoring program that is designed to bring the skill levels up to where they need to be and to continue them from there.

Tier One Learning Solutions was launched in Fall 2020 out of a sincere passion and need to educate children with integrity by providing an intervention-based tutorial service that goes beyond homework assistance. The idea was brought upon by frustrations and obstacles that my husband and I, both Certified Educators, encountered while teaching in various school districts in Texas.School districts classify students with academic deficits as Tier II and Tier III students performing below grade level in core subjects and school-wide assessments given at various times throughout the school year. Tier II and Tier III students are recommended for intervention-based tutorials during school hours but often do not receive these services consistently throughout the school year. Being former classroom teachers, we understand first-hand the need to provide intervention-based tutoring in schools; however, schools often do not have adequate staffing, the proper curriculum and additional educational materials to provide intervention-based tutoring. We have now made it our mission that every child will be a “Tier One Learner” by providing intervention-based tutoring in Reading and Math.
We have successively provided reputable tutoring and test-preparation services to a wide demographic of students and programs for over 10 years. Working with other programs has allowed us to collect extensive data and insight which we have used to create individualized strategies needed to see improvement and achieve student success. We take a comprehensive approach on learning which is constructed through the facilitation of engaging instruction as well as collaboration with teachers, schools, and experienced instructors with proven track records. Our approach consists of implementing research-backed assessments to set a baseline of each student's knowledge, create a learning plan targeting weaknesses following the university/school course goals and state standards, and measure progress through post-assessments, course grades, and course pass rates.
