This database is intended for Districts, States or nonprofits to identify potential tutoring partners, for potential tutors to identify potential employers and for tutoring organizations to have a clearer understanding of the landscape and to identify interventions that might be useful to their programs, if needed.

AVID offers tutoring that is:
For the past 10 years Bay Area Tutoring Association has been providing school day, after school, weekend and evening tutoring programs - both online and on premise. Our on premise programs occur during the school day in-class and after school in conjunction with youth development programs (YMCA, Boys & Girls Club etc,.). Core subjects are English, digital literacy, numeracy, reading comprehension and math. 1:7 tutor to student ratio. Depending on grade level, tutor to student ratio, our session lengths vary from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. We use school-approved curriculum, and also offer, Pearson, Edmentum and Leveled Literacy separately as needed. Our online tutoring programs are also offered during the day. We prefer to offer small group online programs in the evenings (after 6pm) so parents may observe and ask questions.

Connect Me provides free online tutoring and mentoring services to students who fit at least one of these criteria:
1) They are in a low income family (less than $60,000 yearly household income)
2) At least one parent/guardian of the student is an essential worker (as defined by the NCSL)
3) The student is in virtual/hybrid school due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students meet with their tutor at least once per week on a secured and monitored Zoom link, and have access to additional resources such as office hours.
Connect Tutors is a remote tutoring program providing high school students with free and high-quality college application essay support. We pair predominantly low-income students with our team of tutors, and equip them to build meaningful mentorship relationships that develop the writing skills and confidence of high school students. We believe a student's financial circumstances should play no role in their ability to access college writing support and tell their stories effectively.
CovEducation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to connect mentors from higher education institutions with K-12 students affected by school closures. Our mentors not only serve as academic tutors but also as role models who foster non-academic interests and career exploration. We also compile free, web-based educational resources for students, families, and educators, as well as partner with schools and other non-profits to improve the learning experience of K-12 students.
EPASA school-year tutor-mentors commit to up to four hours of tutoring and mentoring per week, in addition to quarterly trainings and reflections. Tutor-mentors are highly encouraged to commit to EPASA for the full school year in order to develop quality relationships with their tutees.

Hill Learning Center provides students and educators with the instruction, tools, and support they need to succeed in school, and in life. We serve students directly, and share the evidence based practices implemented in our school with educators everywhere via the Hill Learning System and educator professional development. Our signature program is HillRAP (Reading Achievement Program.) Hill Tutoring serves families with both individual tutoring and small-group classes that are built upon research, individualized instruction, and successful teaching techniques.
Grand Valley State University’s K-12 Connect program provides individualized K-12 academic support to students through virtual, high-dosage tutoring services. While K-12 Connect currently partners largely with Michigan school districts, the program is expanding to service districts across the US. K-12 Connect tutoring is flexibly designed, with tutoring offered in and outside of school, seven days a week. Tutors are highly trained and work in a community-based learning environment with ongoing coaching and collaborative peer and professional support. Saga embeds algebra (or geometry) math tutors as a class within the school day. Our tutor teams can serve 20-40 students per period, and the tutors can work in person or online. Tutors work in ratios of 1:2 to 1:4, and we offer four models.

The Halifax Helpers offers three free, virtual tutoring programs. The first is an Academic stream that supports students in all school subjects. The second is our EAL program that provides 1-on-1 English tutoring to language learners. The third is an EAL conversation group which provides a fun an dynamic environment for students to practice conversational English.
Brown University's online tutoring program is a free resource and service for all students of current partner K-12 schools offered through the Annenberg Institute, the Swearer Center and Tutor Matching Services. TutorX is a free tutoring exchange platform created for students, by students. Tutees can sign up for tutoring sessions through our website with qualified student tutors in a variety of subjects: math, English, computer science, test prep, Spanish, Latin, science, and more. Tutoring sessions are held through Zoom and can last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
UPchieve connects low-income students (13+) with free, on-demand math tutoring, science tutoring, and college counseling though their interactive platform. Students can use UPchieve 24/7 from any device (including smartphones, tablets, and computers) to connect one-on-one with a live Academic Coach. Using the interactive whiteboard and text-based chat, students can get help with anything from finishing their homework to preparing for an exam. There is no audio or video to preserve student safety and comfort.
Wave Learning Festival provides a variety of free educational resources. Our tutoring program features tutors from across the world hosting hour-long peer-to-peer tutoring sessions over Zoom throughout the week. We offer school partnerships of all kinds--schools are able to request the services and subjects they need most, including tutoring sessions dedicated to their students and special classes from our tutors.
