As states, districts, and schools start to plan interventions and support for students for the ‘21-’22 school year, we are offering a 4-hour workshop to support state and district leadership teams in launching tutoring programs. We will work to provide support for leaders to develop the parameters around program design, human capital and communication, and share our resources and recommendations developed over 17 years in regards to professional development, curriculum and measurements of success. Saga Education stands out as a proven leader of the field in high-dosage, high-impact tutoring programs.

  • Who - State/District/LEA Leaders interested in starting a tutoring program in their state or district (up to 10 per state)
  • What - Two, 2-hour training sessions to discuss and brainstorm with other leaders best practices, lifts, and needs for launching a tutoring program. Topics to be discussed include program design, human capital, tutoring curriculum, measurements of success, professional development, operations and communications
  • Where - Zoom
  • When - Wednesday & Thursday, August 4th & 5th, from 2pm - 4pm EST **
    • Roughly 1 hour of asynchronous pre-work prior to attending each session
    • 2 hours both days of synchronous training
  • Outcomes
    • Generate core components of an effective tutoring program for your district or state
    • Tutor to student ratios, number of hours of tutoring, grade level, content area
    • Create guidelines and share best practices around human capital, curriculum, training for tutors and leaders and operations needed to launch a tutoring program
    • Draft communication plans at the state, district and school level to share with key stakeholders
