Delaware Strategy to Accelerate Learning

Requires school districts to (1) adopt high quality and consistent instruction materials (2) provide school leaders and teachers professional learning to provide Tier 1 education to students and address student learning needs (3) create balanced assessment system and provide data on learning loss, and (4) reexamine and create support structures to accelerate student learning (ex. high dosage tutoring). In addition, the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) has committed to provide Delaware public schools with five resources that will assist learning acceleration for students in literacy and mathematics. Resources include, Professional Learning and Summer Booster content for literacy acceleration (K-5), student access to online text repository (K-12), access to Zearn Math licenses (K-7), Zearn Professional Learning, and high-dosage-tutoring seats. Funding is unknown at this point in time.

To support schools with literacy and mathematics acceleration, the DDOE will seek third party vendors to provide seats to Delaware public schools for Summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 school year to support high-dosage tutoring for students who struggle the most.
